Our Story

Born and raised in India, Divya has always been fascinated by the vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and rich cultural heritage of her country. Growing up, she was surrounded by fabrics, textiles, and embroidery, and her passion for fashion and design was ignited at a young age.

After completing her education in fashion design at RMIT, Melbourne launched her own label, which combines traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern silhouettes and techniques. She is particularly drawn to the intricate handwork of artisans and weavers, and works closely with them to create one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the beauty and craftsmanship of Indian textiles.

Our Values

Rao believes in creating beautiful products while keeping the values of ethics and sustainability at the forefront. Treating each piece as a keepsake made to last that will carry you through every stage of life from sisterhood to motherhood. Sourcing only the finest organic materials and working closely with local artisans to create each piece. From the cotton fields, using ecofriendly dyes to the finished product, she ensures that every step of the process is done with respect for the environment and the people involved. We believe in slow fashion and all our products are made in limited quantities. This means less waste and more control over our eco-footprint.

Our Ethics

All her products are handmade by girls rescued from the red-light districts in India and her mission is to empower these girls and provide them with a second chance at life through the power of fashion. These rescued girls receive training and education in all aspects of fashion design and production, from sketching and pattern making to sewing and finishing. They also receive support and resources to help them transition into a better life, including healthcare, housing, and education.

By choosing to shop with us, you are not only supporting the empowerment of these girls, but also promoting a sustainable future for the fashion industry. Together, we can make a positive impact on the world.
